TO MY REPRESENTATIVES IN GOVERNMENT AND TO THE UNITED NATIONS

As a global minded citizen of Australia, I am concerned about the future for world peace, democracy and the planet. I care about my family and their future in Australia and the wellbeing of families and children all around the world.

As an individual, I want to do something to make a difference, to help make the world a better and genuinely safer place for everyone.

As a stakeholder in the planets future, I want to reach out and join together with others in a global expression for peace to be presented to our representatives in government and to the United Nations.

I am voting Yes for peace because: (optional, 250 chars max)

Now, more than ever, everyday Australians are realising there must be more that can be done to resolve conflicts and prevent wars but how can we, as individuals, help that happen! Well, the Vote for Peace is a lever to which each person can add their weight to ensure that every level of community and national decision making recognises that Peace is something that Aussies believe in, want and will act powerfully together to ensure that their voices for Peace are heard and acted upon.

Aussies are great competitors and that Peace in life, and in the world, is a prize worth going for! So, we thought it time to put a bit of sport into having more of it! The votes have been organised by postcode so a 'State of Origin… of the species' style of competition could determine which Australian State or Territory can can get the most votes for Peace in.

It's a competition with no losers because everyone's a winner out of more Peace happening!

The game is to take a 'Punt on Peace' with your Aussie mates and be part of making war history by helping to send the first ever direct message from the Australian people, as a whole, about the future we want for ourselves, our children and our world.

The only way we'll find out if more Peace is possible is if we go for it – and go for it together. Only when we make the decision to go for something that big, that exciting, that compelling, that obvious, will the resources be made available, the technologies developed, the understandings evolved, the way forward found.
